Richard and David are meeting with a solicitor in the bland office of a funeral home following their mother’s death. After finding out the solicitor is running late, the two brothers are forced to spend more time alone together than they have in years. They start to argue over who should maintain ownership of their mothers ashes. David- awkward, soft spoken – wants to respect his mothers wishes. Richard – bullish, angry – wants the ashes in his home. Richard also has a sneeze that he can’t seem to gain control of. Tensions rise and the argument turns into a fight, during which they break the urn, spilling the ashes all over the both of them. They scream and cry and scramble to clean up the mess they’ve made and in the process have their first genuine moment of endearment.
