Synopsis of production

This Noisy Isle explores attitudes to the refugee crisis through the magic and poetry of The Tempest. The production is a fun, interactive adventure for children aged 7-11 and their families – A unique creative challenge for performers who love to respond directly with their audience.

Please note all performances take place outdoors during the daytime.

There will be approx 5 full days of rehearsals before the Brighton run, plus one day for travel/local preparation before the performance dates at each tour venue.


Spun Glass Theatre are looking for two actors with a base in Brighton/Sussex, with a strong background in improvisation, to perform and create a treasure-hunt style outdoor production for families inspired by Shakespeare’s The Tempest.

Desirable Skills –

– Experience with one-on-one or small group performances
– Excellent improvisation and character building skills
– Experience with running workshops for children
– Actor Musicians

The roles we need to fill are Prospero and Ariel; both roles are open to ALL actors, regardless of age, sex, gender, ethnicity, or disability.
